Class
Introductory Physics
Grade 9 Level 1 110104 This accelerated course is a conceptual study of motion, forces, energy, momentum, heat and heat transfer, waves, electromagnetism, and electromagnetic radiation with a focus on the basic principles of physics. This course is devoted to imparting a sound foundation in the areas of measurement, laboratory techniques and the analysis of experimental data. Students should have a minimum average of B in level 1 Math and Science in grades 7 & 8. Physical Science level selection should match Freshman Math level selection. Changes may be made to student’s course selection based on teacher recommendations and MCAS Scores. Students are required to have their own scientific calculator (TI-30XIIS or equivalent).
