For this project we were asked to create an album cover for the song we were given using pictures we saved and Photoshop. For this project we learned how to use Photoshop, tools, filters, layers, and backgrounds. We also learned how to save pictures and put our work into publisher. I researched pictures to save and edit, and song lyrics. For the front cover, first I put the background picture, then cut out the globe with the hands using the eraser tool. Next I added it the leaves from a picture using the lasso tool. finally I merged the layers and applied several filters. For the back cover, I used the same background as the front and cut out a strand of DNA from a picture using the magnet tool and put it over the background. After applying several filters I pasted the lyrics in and added the UPC code, price, and website. I printed it out, folded, and glued it, creating an album cover for the song Galaxy DNA. I learned that publisher is very difficult to use, if I had to do it again I would use more efficient tools for cropping images.
For this project we were asked to create an album cover for the song we chose given using pictures we saved and Photoshop. For this project we learned how to use Photoshop, tools, filters, layers, and backgrounds. We also learned how to save pictures and put our work into publisher. I researched pictures to save and edit, and song lyrics. For the front cover I used a sunset background, then I cut out the grass and the house and put it over the background. then I merged the layers and applied several filters. For the back cover I cut out a train and put it over the background, then applied several filters. I used the same background as the front. I pasted the lyrics in and added the UPC code, price, and website. I printed it out, folded, and glued it, creating an album cover for the song House of the Rising Sun. I learned that publisher is very difficult to use, if I had to do it again I would use more efficient tools for cropping images.
For this project we were asked to replace a face on a poster, or movie scene with our own. For this project we learned how to use Photoshop lasso and stamp tool. For this project I researched posters for pretty little liars until I found one that fit the angle of my face. I used the clone stamp tool to move my face into the spot of the girls face from the show. I learned from this project that the images have to be relatively the same size in order for the stamp toll to work correctly. If I were to do this again I would make the same face as the girl in the picture so it blended in more.
For this project were asked to create a cartoon of a famous person using illustrator. For this project we learned how to use all of the tools on illustrator to create our image. We also learned how to export our project from illustrator to publisher to add text. For this project I researched quotes from John Lennon and photos of his to base the cartoon off of. I used the pencil tool t outline shades of color in his face then filled the shapes with color. Then I exported it to publisher to add a speech bubble an a quote. For this project I learned that it is important to use layers so the image is easier to move around. if I were tp do this again I would make sure my shapes overlapped so there is no white space between them.
